FARMINGTON (KFSM) — A Farmington School District employee was arrested on Monday (Sept. 12) after he was accused of distributing marijuana.

Skye Peterson, 34, of Fayetteville is facing a felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance, according to a preliminary report.

Peterson, who is an instructional aid in the district, allegedly sold marijuana to a detective on the Fourth Judicial Drug Task Force on two separate occasions during the past year, the report states. Peterson sold 45 grams to the agent who recorded the interaction.

Peterson was taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was later released on a $2,500 bond.

The Farmington School District released this statement:

“The Farmington School District is aware of the charges leveled against one of our instructional aides. The district is gathering information and investigating these charges. Please be assured that the district takes these allegations very seriously and will make decisions based on the best interest of our students.”
