If you've ever wondered where your smarts come from, look no further, than you’re mother.

New research published in Psychology Spot said science now proves kids get their intelligence from their moms.

That's because the genes that carry intelligence are located in the "X" chromosomes and since mothers carry two it's more likely children get their smarts from their mom and not their dad.
