FORT SMITH (KFSM) — According to Fort Smith Police, a body was found at Kimmons Junior High in Fort Smith Friday morning (Sept. 16).
Officers said a man’s body was found near the back of the school around 7 a.m. The man was not a student and was not affiliated with the school, officers said. The name of the victim has not been released at this time. Several officers and detectives are currently on the scene investigating.
Police said they believe the man committed suicide.
According to Fort Smith Public Schools, counselors will be available for any students that may have been upset by the incident.
