SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — Tyson Foods, Inc. employees signed the final beam that will complete the steel frame of Arkansas Children’s Northwest on Friday (Sept. 23).
The beam will be raised into place at a celebration for Arkansas Children’s Northwest on Sept. 28.
Tyson Foods, Inc. made a $15 million donation to help construct the children’s hospital. The donation will also go toward the construction the Tyson Family Tower in the new facility. The tower will house more than 233,000 square feet of bed space for patients, as well as areas for emergency care, diagnostic services and clinical space.
The 37-acre campus is located on Interstate-49 across from Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.
The new children’s hospital is slated to open in January 2018.
