FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — The Fayetteville Police Department is searching for two suspects after an armed robbery at a Fayetteville restaurant on Sunday night (Sept. 25).

Police responded to a call about an armed robbery at Formosa restaurant on College Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday, according to a department press release.

Two suspects who were dressed in black allegedly assaulted some people who were walking outside the building around closing time, the release states. One of the victims resisted the robbery, and then one of the suspects hit them in the face with the handgun.  The gun went off, but it did not hit anyone.

One of the suspects grabbed a bag from one of the victims, and both suspects fled into a wooded area near the restaurant.

Officers and a K9 searched the area, but didn’t find the suspects. However, the K9 was able to locate some of the items stolen from the victim.

Anyone with information about the robbery or suspects should contact the Fayetteville Police Department at 479-587-3555.
