ROGERS (KFSM) — Renovations at Lake Atalanta are nearly complete, according to city leaders.
The Grand Opening Celebration for Lake Atalanta will be held on Oct. 29. There will be free family activities from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tyson Foods will provide complimentary hamburgers, hot dogs and chips near Clark Pavilion, which is on the south side of Walnut Street. There will also be interactive exhibits featured by a variety of local companies and organizations.
Rogers Mayor Greg Hines said Lake Atalanta means so much to so many people living in Northwest Arkansas.
“We’re so excited to invite the community to see the new Lake Atalanta, to begin creating new memories and celebrating past ones with their families,” Hines said.
Lake Atalanta has been under construction for the past 16 months.
