FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — The League of Women Voters of Washington County will host a forum to inform voters about November ballot issues on Wednesday (Oct. 5) from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Fayetteville Public Library.

Arkansas voters will decide ballot questions involving medical marijuana, limits on lawsuit damage awards, government-funded business development incentives and changing term length for elected county officials, to name a few.

The three-member panelists are: University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture’s Public Policy Center Program Associate Kristin Higgins; Washington County UA Extension Service Staff Chair Berni Kurz; Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Editorial Page Editor Greg Harton.

The Division of Agriculture’s Public Policy Center was created to provide Arkansans with timely, credible, unbiased and research-based information and education about public issues.

The center’s goals are to increase citizen knowledge, awareness and understanding of public issues.

For more forum information, contact League member Laura Kellams, (479) 445-8750.
