ROGERS (KFSM) -- The Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce and the NWA Technology Council hosted the 2nd annual Northwest Arkansas Technology Summit.

The Northwest Arkansas Technology Summit is billed as the premier technology event for our area.  Microsoft CEO Kevin Turner was the keynote speaker of the event.

"It's a real good experience. A lot of knowledgeable people and cool technology like VR, seminars on drones, so much variety and free stuff," NW tech student Daniel Barrientos said.

The event included breakout training sessions on a variety of topics including business solutions, agriculture, education, transportation, health care and new emerging technology.

"Great opportunity provided by the educational scholarship and we were able to bring eight students and two instructors," NW tech instructor Lisa Holland said.  "They were able to network with potential employers, potential jobs and interact with IT professionals, take in seminars, a really good opportunity for our students."
