Students Gear Up for Arkansas Vs. Alabama

FAYETTEVILE (KFSM) -- The No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will play the Hogs in Fayetteville at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday (Oct. 8). Students at the University of Arkansas' main concern is usually making sure they have a seat, especially when this game comes around.

In years past, students lined up and even camped out to make sure they are calling the Hogs from inside the stadium, instead of the alternative.

Students are able to get into the games with their student access pass, but this doesn't promise them a seat. The student section inside the stadium holds 9,500 seats, but they are first come, first serve.

The student pass line at any given Razorback game is lined up outside the stadium even after kick off, so U of A students are gearing up for an extra-long wait this weekend.

Mechanical Engineering student Gabe Smith said he's definitely planning to make an extra effort to get in line early.

"Yeah, I've heard some people talking about getting there at 6 a.m. and that's actually why I chose to go at like 4:45 a.m. Saturday, because I heard more people were getting there at 6 a.m," Smith said.

Smith said he planned on getting to the stadium earlier so he could beat the rest of the crowd.

For all those wanting to watch the big game in the comfort of their own home, kick off is Saturday at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
