Former Razorback Knile Davis Traded To Packers

Chiefs send seldom used running back to Green Bay

Needing to bolster their running back depth, the Green Bay Packers traded for Chiefs running back Knile Davis on Tuesday.

Green Bay will likely be without starting running back Eddie Lacy for Thursday’s night game against the Bears.

Davis, a former Arkansas Razorback, has 775 career yards rushing in three NFL seasons but has just one rushing attempt this season for minus-2 yards. Davis’ biggest impact for the Chiefs came in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs last season as he returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown.

While at Arkansas, Davis ran for 1,862 yards and 19 touchdowns in three seasons while adding nearly 300 yards receiving and two scores.

Davis will join fellow former Razorback Brett Goode on the Packers roster. The deep snapper Goode was signed to a one-year deal just before the season began and is in his ninth season with Green Bay.
