CAMERON (KFSM) — A lock down has been lifted for Cameron schools on Wednesday (Oct. 19) after a man with a gun was spotted near the schools earlier in the day.

Deputies are searching for a man who had a gun near one of the schools on Wednesday morning, said LeFlore County undersheriff Kendall Morgan.  He said it started as a domestic disturbance and the man took off.

The man was able to get away on foot, but he was deemed no longer a threat to the schools, Morgan said.

The school was put under lock down as a precaution.
