Fort Smith broke a record high temperature on Halloween with an afternoon temperatures of 88º breaking the old record of 87º set in 1950.

Fayetteville is currently 80º with the record of 84º also set in 1950 in jeopardy of breaking this afternoon.

October 2016 is currently the 2nd hottest October on record with an average high/low temperature of 69.6 in Fort Smith & 63.7 in NW Arkansas. The hottest October on record was in 1963 for both locations.
