OKLAHOMA (KFSM) — Deputies have arrested a suspect wanted in Polk County following a shooting earlier this week.

Multiple agencies searched in LeFlore County Wednesday morning (Nov. 2) for Ed Martin ,46, of Mena after the LeFlore County Sheriff’s office discovered Martin’s 2003 Chevy Malibu in a ditch in Spiro, West of Sunset Corner.

Martin was confirmed as the suspect in a shooting that happened on Monday night near Acorn. The victim, a 42-year old white male, was transported to the Mena Regional Health System before being taken to another hospital for surgery.

Deputies said Martin was on the run and considered to be “armed and extremely dangerous”.
