HARRISON (KFSM) -- The Arkansas Baptist Boys Ranch outside of Harrison showed 5NEWS the rebuilt property after the ranch was hit by an EF-1 tornado in April 2015.

Stan Bolding, who is a house parent, said he was next door to a house that had its chimney demolished at the roof when he got an alert about the storm just after 1 a.m. The tornado hit the ranch just second later.

"Pieces of roof in the ground, as much as a foot, just splintered into the ground," Bolding said.

He said it was like nothing he had ever seen before.

"The amazing thing is that there were 31 people and they got away without a scratch, so we know that God was definitely having his angels over us during that storm," Bolding said.

Now they have completed all the renovations and ranch foreman Chris Hudson said they are more than happy with how they came out.

"The fact that nobody got hurt and the fact that we were able to build back better than how we were to start, to me it was a huge success after the storm to seeing where it is now," he said.

The ranch will show off the renovations Saturday, Nov. 5 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The ranch is place for boys who need a place to live, who have a family conflict or who have behavioral issues.
