LAVACA (KFSM) -- A Lavaca Airman had a very important job Thursday morning (Nov. 3) -- giving his family a homecoming surprise.

Greg Williams has spent the past 190 days serving overseas with the United States Air Force. In April, Williams was sent to Southwest Asia, and he said he's been counting down the days until he returns home.

Finally, on Thursday, he got the new assignment: Surprise his three children at school.

"It meant the world, I know they missed me," Williams said. "I was able to video chat with them pretty much every day, but I knew whenever we got here the expressions and the joy would be insurmountable."

The rest of the Williams family agreed, saying they're just happy to have their dad home, especially with the holidays coming up.
