VAN BUREN (KFSM) - A local dentist office is giving away free dental care for local veterans. Morton Family Dentistry in Van Buren is offering free dental care on Friday (Nov.11). They're wanting to celebrate those brave men and women who have served our country.
This is just a little something that dentists want to do to show our veterans how much we appreciate all they've done and the sacrifices they've made for our country. "We are so thankful for the veterans and this is just a small token of gratitude for us," said Emily Steininger with Morton Family Dentistry.
For a few years now, Morton Family Dentistry has been offering free cleanings, x-rays, fillings, extractions, or other treatments veterans are in need of but not able to afford. In 2015, they gave around $10,000 worth of free dental care to veterans in need. "They seem to be very grateful and it's rewarding for us to be able to do that for them," said Steininger.
Veterans must make an appointment before they come on Friday. They're not taking walk-ins, so if you want to take advantage of this you must call to make an appointment. The number for Morton Family Dentistry is (479) 474-9696. The dentist office is offering appointments from 8:30 - 5:00 on Friday.
