NEEDHAM,  Mass. (KFSM) — Mexico and Canada were two of the top countries where Americans booked hotel stays, vacation and otherwise, the day after the election.

The travel and booking site, TripAdvsor, listed the top 10 international destinations with the most booking activity among U.S. travelers on Wednesday (Nov. 9), the day after the U.S. presidential election.

“After a long and intense election, travelers were out in full force researching and booking on TripAdvisor after placing their votes,” said Senior Communications Director Brooke Ferencsik.

TripAdvisor based the hotel booking activity, through instant booking and meta click data, from midnight to 1 p.m. Eastern on November 9.
