FRANKLIN COUNTY(KFSM) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s office is investigating the discovery of possible human remains, according to Sheriff Anthony Boen.
The remains were found by two people in a wooded area near the intersection of East Coal Road and Plum Street on Saturday(Nov. 12), Boen said.
The remains were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification. It could take several weeks before the results are released.
Sheriff Boen said the investigation is ongoing.
