NEW YORK CITY (KFSM) — Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge was at Trump Tower in New York City Thursday (Nov. 17) for meetings, according to her communications director.
Rutledge did interviews in the lobby and then met with members of president-elect Donald Trump’s transition staff, Director of Communications Judd Deere said. However, Deere said he could not comment on who Rutledge met with or what they discussed.
Rumors swirled last week that Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson was being considered for a position on Trump’s cabinet. However, he dispelled the reports by saying he likes where he is currently and is not interested in a position.
