A strong cold front will put an end to the warm weather on Friday morning with falling temperatures during the day. Rain will be possible early in the day Friday but totals will likely not be more than 1/2″ of rain.

With clearing skies and cold north winds, temperatures will fall into the 20s and low 30s for Saturday & Sunday morning.

This is a look at forecast temperatures on Saturday morning which shows widespread 20s and low 30s across the area.

The Freeze Watch is currently in effect for NW Arkansas but could be expanded to the south depending on whether or not the wind goes calm.

6AM FRIDAY: The front will be cutting across the area with scattered rain possible. Winds will be turning around to the northwest and will be blustery at times.

9AM FRIDAY: Most of the rain will be shifting east of NW Arkansas with a few showers continuing in western Arkansas.

NOON FRIDAY: Rain will be leaving the area with cold air pouring in from the northwest. Expect blustery northwest winds and much colder temperatures by the afternoon and evening.

The next chance for rain will be Tuesday of next week. Currently, Thanksgiving and Black Friday appear sunny with temperatures in the 60s.
