Trump Aide Kellyanne Conway: No Plan To Pursue Charges Against Clinton

(CNN) — President-elect Donald Trump’s administration will not pursue further investigations of Hillary Clinton related to her private email server or the Clinton Foundation, Trump’s former campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said Tuesday, a significant break from a major campaign promise.

“I think when the President-elect, who’s also the head of your party, tells you before he’s even inaugurated that he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone, and content” to fellow Republicans, Conway said in an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

At the second presidential debate in early October, Trump threatened Clinton, saying that “if I win, I am going to instruct my attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation.”

Conway said Clinton “still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy,” but added that “if Donald Trump can help her heal, then perhaps that’s a good thing to do.”

“Look, I think he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the President of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them,” she added.

During Trump’s ferocious election fight with Clinton, chants of “lock her up” — referring to Clinton — became a refrain of the Republican’s campaign, as he hammered the Democratic presidential nominee over her decision to use a private email server as secretary of state, and lobbed accusations of corruption and “pay to play” politics at the Clinton Foundation.

Too bad. Hate seeing these promises broken particularly when it comes to the Clinton’s after all the damage they have inflicted on others. Hopefully the FBI will do the right thing and complete the prosecution.

Trump plays the media like a cheap violin. Of course, HE is not going to pursue charges – that would look like a political hit. BUT the independent FBI will recommend charges and President Trump will say we have to go along with this. Watch!

At least he has the good sense to not waste taxpayer dollars since she hasn’t committed a crime. Hopefully now that she isn’t running for president, congressional republicans can move on. We don’t need to waste money on a 34th Benghazi hearing to find no wrong doing or another year investing emails after it was determined that there was no wrong doing already.

Of course they don’t plan to pursue any charges against Hillary Clinton – Chuh – In 3-years, the best Republican dirt-diggers on the planet, the State Department, and the FBI were -NOT- able to -PROVE- she committed any crimes! – It’s those dumb-/\SS reichwing-Notzii LOW IQ MORONS that keep telling themselves, she belongs in jail, WITHOUT ANY PROOF she belongs in jail! (lol)

Ironically, this happened the same day the Trump Foundation was revealed to have admitted to felony tax fraud. Sadly, kfsm has yet to report on this admission.

@kfsm: Arnold and Benny are proof that your biased reporting is not only mis-informing your viewers, but it leads to things like your pet, Tom Cotton, getting away with taking a bribe from a foreign government. I hope you’re proud of yourselves for your deceptive political reporting.
