ROGERS (KFSM) -- The Rogers Police Department holds a toy giveaway for children in the community every year, but they depend on donations and partnerships with local businesses and organizations to make it happen.

This year, the department partnered with a local car club called Homies United. The club's founder, Fransisco Trujillo, reached out to Officer Keith Foster about holding a toy drive and car show Sunday (Nov. 27).

"I just think it was something cool to do," Trujillo said. "I think it's important to help other people around here."

The two have known each other for the past ten years.

"I used to be a school resource officer and Francisco was one of my student," Foster said. "So we've got some history going back several years now."

The toys donated during the car show will go toward the police department's Shop With A Cop event.
