FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)-- Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday are all about spending money, but Giving Tuesday allows you to support any charity or non-profit of your liking.

Giving Tuesday is celebrated each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick start the charitable season.

The new tradition started five years ago, but already has non-profits looking to reach some pretty high goals.

A local farmer at Tri Cycles Farm is hoping to raise enough money throughout the year to increase the community outreach.

"Our plan for Giving Tuesday is to launch our year-end giving campaign. We hope to raise $30,000 in 33 days," farmer Don Bennett said.

Most non-profits have posted links to their social media sites to aid those who would like to give and they offer incentives for in person donations.

The Oasis shelter of Northwest Arkansas is giving away a cup of coffee to each person that donates $15 to their charity.

If you weren't prepared for this Giving Tuesday event, you don't have to wait until next year.

Non-Profits collect donations throughout the year to keep helping those in need.
