FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Fayetteville police released the description of a man wanted in connection to what they say was an attempted kidnapping and robbery.

The victim said he was at home on Pumpkin Ridge near the Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club Tuesday (Nov. 29) when a black man broke in through his back door, Sgt. Craig Stout said.

The suspect then took the victim to the ATM at Arvest Bank near Mission Boulevard and Crossover Road in the victim’s truck, at which point the victim ran from the vehicle and the suspect sped off, Stout said.

Police recovered the truck a short distance away, according to Stout.

Investigators believe the victim was targeted, so there is no reason to believe anyone else in the Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club neighborhood is in any danger, Stout said.

The suspect was described as being about six-feet tall and 190 pounds. Police said he wore a mask during the attempted kidnapping and robbery.
