FORT SMITH (KFSM) -- Creekmore Park's Holiday Express started boarding passengers for another holiday season Monday (Dec. 5).
Usually, on the first night of the Holiday Express passengers get to see the steam engine train in action, but because of mechanical issues Fort Smith Parks and Recreation used their diesel engine.
The line was long, but those in attendance said that wasn't going to stop them from a family tradition.
The lights at Creekmore Park will be on every night until Dec. 22. The Holiday Express will also run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night until then.
