FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Fort Smith Police are looking for a subject who broke into a woman’s car, stole her purse and has written checks in her name.

Police said a Conway woman reported that her vehicle had been broken into while she was watching a movie at Malco Cinema 16 in Fort Smith on Oct. 23, according to a department press release. She said her purse and some electronics were taken from her vehicle.

Since the break-in, the woman reported that somebody has forged checks to make purchases from her account at several business, including a Fayetteville Walmart.

Police are looking for this man, who is a person of interest in the case. He is described as a white male between 40-50 years old, who was last seen driving a dark-colored car.
