SPRINGDALE-ROGERS (KFSM) -- Residents of Springdale and Rogers are being asked for their opinions and input on any issues facing Fair Housing.

Both cities recently partnered with Morningside Research and Consulting to begin a survey that aims to learn the concerns and complaints of those living in Fair Housing or for those who receive Fair Housing assistance.

"We want to make sure that we hear about any instances in the community where people do not feel like they have fair housing choice," said Shari Holland, president of Morningside Research and Consulting.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requires cities ensure that their residents are entitled to fair and equal opportunity.

Holland's company will compile the data and hand it over to leaders from each city.

She said the survey is also open to residents who just want their voices heard on housing matters.

"Homeowners, renters at all income levels to respond to the survey so that we can get a lot of good data about where there are issues," Holland said. "Help us make recommendations to the city of Springdale about issues they might want to consider."
