WALDRON (KFSM) — Police are investigating a teacher who works for the school district after she was accused of sexually assaulting a student.

Waldron Police Chief David Millard said the investigation is ongoing and the teacher had not been arrested as of Friday (Dec. 9). He did not release her name or age.

He also declined to state whether the teacher is still employed at the school, and what school the student attends. The teacher and student have been cooperating with police.

“To my knowledge there was not any sex [between the two],” Millard said.

He explained more details will be released pending the outcome of the investigation.
