SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — Ozark Regional Transit will be offering free rides on fixed rate routes during the week before Christmas.

The company announced they will be offering a free-fare week from Monday (Dec. 19) to Friday (Dec. 23) to show appreciation to their customers.

The free fares applies to all fixed route transit buses, which operate in Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville.

The service will not be running on the days observed for Christmas and New Years Day, Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2 respectively. However the exception to the New Years Day closing will be the new Commuter Express route, which will begin on Monday, Jan. 2.

The ORT offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23 in observance of Christmas Eve and Friday, Dec. 29 in observance of New Years Eve. However, the bus services will continue running.

Regular fares will apply to curb-to-curb and paratransit  services.
