Dan Skipper Named AFCA All-American

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)–Dan Skipper was named to the American Football Coaches Association FBS Coaches’ All-America Second Team on Wednesday. The senior is one of sixteen players from the SEC on the list.

Skipper was also named First Team All-SEC last week by the AP and coaches. The 6’10” left tackle earned┬áSEC Lineman of the Week twice this fall, along with being the conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week once, after blocking his seventh career kick in a win at TCU.

Skipper anchored a line that paved the way for a 1,326 yard season from sophomore running back Rawleigh Williams and a 601 yard effort from freshman Devwah Whaley.

2016 is the second straight season the AFCA has named one Razorback to its All-America list, after tight end Hunter Henry made the First Team last year.

The Belk Bowl will mark Skipper’s 46th straight start on the offensive line.
