SEQUOYAH COUNTY (KFSM) — The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Thursday (Dec. 15) in connection to a deadly shooting that happened in October.
Deputies arrested Christopher Collins, 31, of Sallisaw on suspicion of second-degree murder, according to Sheriff Ron Lockhart. Collins is accused of shooting and killing Tracy Cardwell at his residence Oct. 8.
When authorities arrived at Collins’ home to arrest him, he was loading a shotgun, Lockhart said. Collins is currently being held at the Sequoyah County Jail.
