WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM) — A Fayetteville woman is dead and two others are injured as a result of a collision along Highway 45, according to Arkansas State Police.

Leigh E. Taylor, 57, of Fayetteville succumbed to her injuries early Monday morning (Dec. 19) at Washington Regional Medical Center, according to police.

Colton Stilwell, 18, of Lincoln and his passenger, Kagen Stephens, also 18, of Elkins were both injured in the collision. They too were taken to Washington Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The collision happened shortly before 9:30 a.m., Saturday (Dec. 17).

According to police, Taylor stopped across a lane of traffic that was traveling west. As Stilwell drove along a curve toward the right, the front of his vehicle struck the passenger side of Taylor’s vehicle.
