FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)– The Arkansas men’s basketball team suffered their first home and Southeastern Conference loss off the season on Thursday night, falling to No. 25 Florida 81-72. The Razorbacks (11-2) built a strong non-conference record and even boasted an eight-game win streak, but the Gators snapped that.

Allen’s sharp shooting helped the gators build a nine point lead by halftime. Arkansas was able to briefly cut the lead to just three points, thanks to a 7-1 run in the second half, but the Gators fought back. The Gators wee able to build a commanding lead, due to their 50-percents shooting in the second half.

Like all season, junior guard Daryl Macon was an offensive force for the Razorbacks, scoring a game-high 22 points. Macon hit 7 of 10 shots, and was 3-for-5 from the three-point range.
