SALLISAW (KFSM)-- Police shot at suspects at a Sallisaw Walmart parking lot Sunday night (Jan. 29), after a Sallisaw police officer was hit by a suspects' vehicle.

About 6:00 p.m. officers from the Sallisaw Police Department and Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office were conducting an undercover drug investigation. That investigation led officers to the Sallisaw Walmart parking lot. During contact with suspects, a Sallisaw officer was hit by the vehicle.

The officer has been identified as Blake Brunk. Brunk was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The officer was up and mobile before transported.

Investigators said Brunk was dragged by the vehicle and thrown approximately ten feet.

"When they pulled forward and were actually pulling back toward the officer is when officers engaged the suspect and fired round towards the suspect," said Sallisaw Police Captain Jeff Murray.

Officers said they returned with gunfire toward the vehicle.

According to investigators, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene leading to a short pursuit. The Suspects, Joshua Rose, Crystal Rose and Duane Bryant have been taken into custody with no injuries.
