SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — Over 4,000 people are without power in Springdale, SWEPCO spokesperson Peter Main said. As of 3:30 p.m., 4,201 customers are without power.
Main said the cause of the outage is unknown at this time, but crews are working to restore power in the area.
Springdale High School was without power for an hour and half, Rick Schaeffer with Springdale Public Schools said. Students were able to leave if they had parental permission, but Schaeffer said only 20 students left for the day. Power was restored at the school at about 2 p.m.
