UPDATE: Crews Respond To Shooting, Home Invasion In Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Crews responded to a gunshot victim in Fayetteville Friday afternoon (Oct. 13), Cpt. Dale Riggins with the Fayetteville Fire Department said.

Sgt. Anthony Murphy with Fayetteville police said two people were in an altercation in a car when one person was shot. There was a scene at the intersection of Hunstville and Crossover and also at the 1000 block of River Meadows Drive.

An invasion at a home on River Meadows Drive may have led up to the shooting, according to people near the scene.

Murphy said they do not have a description of the suspect or the car, and the condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

Dispatchers said Saturday morning a suspect was in custody.

This is a developing story and we will update this post as we learn more information.
