BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) -- Police have identified a person killed during collision Thursday (Oct. 26).
Rene S. Ayala, 29, of Rogers died, according to Arkansas State Police.
Shortly before 3 p.m., Ayala was driving a motorcycle east along Arkansas 12 east of Rogers on the Beaver Lake Bridge, according to ASP.
While on a sharp curve, he passed in a 'no passing zone' and was struck head-on by a Nissan truck that was traveling west, according to ASP.
Police said the Nissan was driven by Rodney Robertson, 47, also of Rogers. Robertson was injured and taken to Mercy Hospital in Rogers for treatment.
A portion of that road was closed for about six hours while workers cleaned the scene.
