FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — Fayetteville police are investigating after a motorcyclists was killed Tuesday (Dec. 5) on Joyce Boulevard.
James Jacobs, Jr., 36, of Fayetteville was westbound about 11:30 a.m. on Joyce Boulevard near Millennium Drive, where he separated from his motorcycle and collided with another vehicle that was stopped in the eastbound lane.
Jacobs was pronounced dead at the scene. His motorcycle traveled roughly 380 feet before stopping.
Police said Jacobs was wearing a helmet and other protective gear.
The driver will take a blood-alcohol test as part of standard procedure, but it’s not believed the driver was intoxicated, police said.
