LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) -- An armed and dangerous suspect wanted by Arkansas and Oklahoma authorities was located Thursday morning (Dec. 14), according to police.

Christopher Lee Robinson, 38, of Alma was wanted by Oklahoma and Arkansas law enforcement including Arkansas Board of Parole after allegedly stealing a truck during a traffic stop and fleeing the scene.

According to LeFlore County Undersheriff Kendall Morgan, Robinson was located in the back bedroom of a home under construction on Race Track Loop in Spiro.

He was then taken into custody.

The manhunt began Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 13) when a Panama officer stopped a woman driving a white pickup truck.  The officer asked Robinson and two other passengers to get out of the truck while he questioned the woman, later identified as Carrie Britton. While Robinson and the two passenger were standing outside, Robinson jumped back into the truck and sped away from the scene, leading police on a chase exceeding 80 miles-per-hour.

Not long after, officers found the truck abandoned at Spiro Lake, according to Morgan.

Britton was arrested on suspicion of obstruction of governmental operations, and the two men were also arrested. Both of the men had outstanding warrants, police said.

Robinson has been convicted of felony drug charges and is facing a felony charge of failing to pay child support in addition to other charges that will be determined once he's arrested.
