A handful of thunderstorms developed on Thursday with daytime heating. The most notable was over the north side of Fort Smith where over 100 customers lost power this afternoon with strong gusty winds that moved across the city.
A quick check of the accumulated rainfall totals shows only a few storms developing but those under the storms ended up with very strong winds and locally heavy downpours.
