    Rogers (KFSM) — Crews responded to an early morning fire today (Mar. 23) on South 5th Street in Rogers, according to Captain Clint Bowen with the Rogers Fire Department.   • Crews Investigating Mobile Home Fire In Washington County

    LINCOLN (KFSM) — Crews are investigating a mobile home fire on East Bean Street in Lincoln. According to Lincoln Fire Administrator, Jay Norton, there was a disturbance at the mobile home around 4:30 a.m. but the fire was reported at 5:30 a.m. Emergency crews from Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Farmington, and Cincinnati Fire Departments worked nearly an hour to extinguish the fire.   • Fort Smith Crews Respond To Fire

    Fort Smith (KFSM) — Fort Smith crews responded to a fire at a four-plex on South 14th Street and Boston Street this morning. The owner of the apartment was sleeping at the time when the fire started. Officials report that everyone was evacuated and no one was injured. The cause is currently under investigation.     Madison County (KFSM) — A red flag warning has been issued for Madison County due to high winds. Red flag warnings are issued by the United States National Weather Service to warn that conditions are ideal for wildland fire combustion and rapid spread. Outdoor burning is discouraged due to the high winds affecting the area.

  • Semi Crashes On I-49 Near Greenland

    Greenland (KFSM) — Northbound traffic is flowing again on Interstate 49 after a semi truck crashed Wednesday (March 14) morning, shutting down one lane near the Greenland overpass. Arkansas State Police say the truck was southbound when it ran off the road, crossed the median and stopped after hitting a guardrail in the northbound lanes. The truck driver wasn’t injured and no other cars were involved in the accident. Police are still investigating.

  • 49 Dead In Plane Crash At Nepal’s Kathmandu Airport

    (CNN) — At least 49 people were killed when a plane approached the runway from the wrong direction, crashed and burst into flames while landing at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan Airport in Nepal on Monday. Flight BS 211, which belongs to US-Bangla Airlines, a privately owned Bangladeshi carrier, was flying from Dhaka, Bangladesh, police spokesperson Manoj Neupane said.   • Fire Destroys Shed At Rogers Restaurant

    Rogers (KFSM) — Rogers Fire Department responded to a fire at a shed near a restaurant on Tuesday (March 6). Officials say a storage shed at Long John Silvers on West Walnut street caught fire around 10:44 p.m.  No injuries were reported and the restaurant did not sustain any damage. The shed was a total loss, according to officials.  It held chairs, tables, and extra equipment for Long John Silvers. Officials say no cause has been determined.

  • Springdale Fire Department Responds To A Call At Neal’s Cafe

    SPRINGDALE (KFSM) — The Springdale Fire Department responded to a call of a potential fire at Neal’s Cafe this morning. According to dispatch, fire crews found that a neon light in the awning sparked a small fire.  However, minimal damage was reported. Neal’s Cafe announced on their Facebook page that they will be closed Saturday (Feb. 24) and reopen Sunday (Feb. 25).
