Bobby joined the 5NEWS team in 2012 and has more than a decade of experience covering sports in Arkansas in print, radio and in television.

Bobby is a graduate of both Roland High School and the University of Central Arkansas. He acquired a degree in mass communications with an emphasis in television and was also a member of the Bears football team.

Not everyone gets to do what they love for a living but Bobby is doing just that, reporting on sports.

If he’s not doing “research” at an area sporting event, Bobby can be found at a local golf course or being a professional man of leisure.

    Northside looked like the top ranked team in the state as they jumped out to a 13-0 lead. Bentonville then, finally, looked like the No. 1 ranked team in the preseason as they rallied for a 29-26 win to notch their first victory of the season.

  • Fayetteville Defense Shuts Down Southside

    Fayetteville and Southside have been involved in plenty of shootouts over the past decade. Friday’s night was an old fashioned defensive struggle. The traditional rivals battled to the fourth quarter scoreless but it was Fayetteville who finally broke the tie to take a 7-0 lead. Then the Bulldogs had to swat away a pass in the end zone on the final play of the game to preserve the win.

  • Heritage’s Late Heroics Knocks Off Rogers

    Heritage found the end zone with 25 seconds left to knock off cross town rival Rogers 23-21 Friday night. Rogers looked to have the game in hand but the drive before the buzzer pushed the War Eagles to 2-0 in the 7A-West.

  • Har-Ber Wins Springdale Shootout

    It was the first game between the two Springdale schools inside Har-Ber’s new stadium and there were plenty of fireworks to go along with it. Har-Ber jumped out to a big lead but had to hold on for a 41-34 win over their cross town rival.

  • Greenwood Blows By Russellville

    If there was any chance of Greenwood looking ahead to next week’s showdown with Conway, it didn’t show. The Bulldogs raced to a 33-0 halftime lead and routed Russellville 40-0 in the 7A/6A-Central.

  • Storey Topped 10,000 Yard Mark In Charleston Rout

    Ty Storey has racked up plenty of accolades during his time at Charleston. You can add another to that list. The Arkansas signee surpassed the 10,000 passing yards mark for his career as the Tigers routed rival Paris 42-8.

  • Siloam Springs Stuns Alma In OT

    Alma had owned the series with Siloam Springs when the two were members of the 5A-West. The Panthers exacted a little revenge in their fist meeting as members of the 7A/6A-Central. Siloam Springs rallied to tie the game in the closing minutes then stopped the Airedales in overtime to steal a 30-27 road.
