Bobby Swofford joined the 5NEWS team in August of 2012 and dove right into the sports scene. He comes to us after spending more than eight years covering sports for various print editions.

Bobby is a graduate of both Roland High School and the University of Central Arkansas. Bobby acquired a degree in mass communications with an emphasis in television and was also a member of the Bears football team.

Not everyone gets to do what they love for a living but Bobby is doing just that, reporting on sports.

If he’s not doing “research” at an area sporting event, Bobby can be found at a local golf course or being a professional man of leisure.
