Heather Lewis was raised in the small town of Alma, Arkansas, and as a local girl, grew up watching 5NEWS.
She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. After interning with 5NEWS, she fell in love with the news industry.
Heather joined the team as a reporter in 2011 and by the following year became a morning anchor.
When she’s not reporting, you can find her cheering on the Razorbacks, eating at favorite spots in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley, traveling, working out, or learning how to play the guitar.

    Two escaped Oklahoma inmates are back in custody Wednesday night.     An Arkansas state employee is dead and another woman is in police custody after a shooting at a rest stop early Tuesday morning.
