Marty came to 5NEWS as the Northwest Arkansas weekend assignment manager in October 2012 after nearly 15 years as a sportswriter with a local newspaper. He was born and raised in Shreveport, La., and graduated from Missouri with a Bachelor degree in journalism with a minor in history. His wife, Jennifer, raises three daughters exceptionally well while Marty desperately tries to stay out of the way without messing anything up. He is usually in timeout.

    Family Members Released From Jail After a Bella Vista Pot Bust

    Three family members were arrested Saturday (Aug. 31) in a drug bust in Bella Vista, officials said. They were released on bond from the Benton County Jail Monday (Sept. 2).     Springdale police and fire department personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on the 4200 block of South Thompson Street.
