Marty came to 5NEWS as the Northwest Arkansas weekend assignment manager in October 2012 after nearly 15 years as a sportswriter with a local newspaper. He was born and raised in Shreveport, La., and graduated from Missouri with a Bachelor degree in journalism with a minor in history. His wife, Jennifer, raises three daughters exceptionally well while Marty desperately tries to stay out of the way without messing anything up. He is usually in timeout.

    LeFlore County Under Sheriff Kendall Morgan said escaped rapist Curtis Edwin Gibson was captured by authorities today in the Summerfield area.
