Rogers Business Helps Lower Car Repair Bills

Gasoline Alley is famous at the Indy 500, but in Rogers it's a place you can save $500 by doing the dirty work yourself.

Greg Phair is the owner of this new do-it-yourself car repair facility. Greg and his son opened a new do it-yourself car repair facility in Northwest Arkansas.

"Gasoline Alley is for the customers to bring a car here and work on it themself. I learned about this kind of service in the military car craft shop. It can save military members a lot of money,'' said Greg.

You can rent a bay and tools at the shop, or even bring your own toolbox.  Phair says it's all adds up to savings and convenience.  No appointments are necessary, you just drive up and rent a bay

If you're tired of huge repair bills from the mechanic then turn a wrench, and save some cash.

But stick to the engine folks, because Phair says no body work is allowed, since sanding creates highly flammable materials.

For some the idea is slightly scary. I couldn't fix a car if my life depended on it.

However, if you have some repair skills and know how to handle a wrench, take a pinch out of your mechanic's budget and do it yourself.

Gasoline Alley is currently in Rogers, but more locations are planned across Northwest Arkansas.
