Van Buren Police are looking for a woman believed to be connected to prescription fraud at a number of pharmacies in the area.

Det. Jonathan Wear says the fake prescriptions for pain pills are from a doctor’s office in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The suspect is using fake names and addresses to obtain the Lorcet and Lortabs.

Officials knew something was up when they noticed the printed name of one of the doctors was misspelled on the prescriptions.

Surveillance photos obtained from one of the pharmacies shows a woman who appears to be black, heavy-set and in her 30s. She is believed to be driving a leased 2012 red Chevrolet Traverse with Mississippi tag RFS841, according to police.
