Oklahoma voters will head to the polls on Tuesday but voters in Sallisaw will get to cast their ballots on new election machines.

The county got the new machines last summer and the primary will be their second election using the new equipment.

People fill in the box by the person they want to vote for and put the ballot in the machine.

The election commission says before the new machines the ballots were all different sizes.

Voters say the new machines are easier to use.

“Well it was quick, very quick, very simple. It’s a vast improvement,” said Susie Harris, an early voter.

Poll workers say sometimes the machines will go down and have to be rebooted.

The election board estimates around one hundred people early voted.
