“Boogie Man” Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Children in Fayetteville

Gregory McWhorter, 40, of Fayetteville, is accused of sexually assaulting at least five children. Police say he wore disguises and told his young victims he was the “boogie man.”

Police say McWhorter was recently arrested for raping and sexually assaulting a child. During the course of the police department’s investigation, he was also charged with the sexual assault of four other children.

Investigators believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information about McWhorter is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at (479) 587-3555.
